Connect Conference 2017

100 participants, 24 nationalities, 17 IAESTE countries and IAESTE asbl represented. 4 days, a lake, a sauna and the most Swedish place ever; red wooden houses hidden among the woods, make the perfect scenario to CONNECT with IAESTE colleagues from all over Europe and beyond!

The 7th IAESTE Connect Conference took place in Barnens Ö on 26th-30th April. The participants enjoyed a wide variety of workshop sessions, listened the presentations about IAESTE in other countries, took part in social games and ran across the forest in search of Swedish adventures! The well renowned International Evening delighted us with all different kind of foods, and a recreation of the Swedish Midsummer was there to teach the participants the biggest cultural celebration of the hosting country.

Lots of fun and joy, but also a lot of work! The Conference was the perfect occasion to have physical sessions of the CoRe Working Groups, push forward the ongoing projects in CoRe and come up with new initiatives, like a working group for jobraising in multinational companies.

Last but not least, a new, motivated and enthusiastic CoRe Management Team was elected to run the Region for the next year; Alejandro Valverde (IAESTE Spain) as Events Coordinator, Chaïm de Mulder (IAESTE Belgium) as Working Groups Coordinator, and Antonio Granero (IAESTE Spain) as Regional Coordinator. The new team is already reachable at core-management [at] and is looking forward to getting work started!

While still having fresh memories from CoCon17, CoRe cannot wait for the next CoCon! See you in Belgium next year!
